Setting Up Push to Talk Channels AT&T Office@Hand

This article provides information on how to manage Push to Talk channels and assign users to the AT&T Office@Hand Online Account.

 

Details

You can create Push to Talk (PTT) channels and assign users to them in the Admin Portal.

Before you can set up PTT channels. you’ll need to purchase and assign PTT licenses for anyone who will use the feature on their mobile device. Then, you can set up Push to Talk channels, add users, and begin using Push to Talk.

NOTE: Only super admins or user admins with group access can add and edit channels. Learn more about roles and permissions.

 

Creating a PTT channel and assigning users

  1. Go to the Admin Portal and sign in.
  2. Go to Phone System > Groups > Push to talk.
  3. Click the Add Channel button at the upper right.

  4. Enter the Channel Name, then click Next.
  5. Select users to add to the channel by ticking the box next to their names, then click Assign.

Managing PTT channels

  1. Go to the Admin Portal and sign in.
  2. Go to Phone System > Groups > Push to talk.
  3. Select the channel you want to edit.

  4. Click the Channel Details dropdown to do the following:
    • Edit the channel name.
    • Click Delete to permanently delete the channel.
  5. Click the Channel Members dropdown to do the following:
    • Click Add Member to add more members to the channel.
      NOTE: You can only add users with PTT licenses.
    • Click Remove beside the member’s name in the list to remove the user from the channel.
      NOTE: Removing a user from a channel doesn’t remove the license assigned to them.
