Using Citrix VDI Integration in the AT&T Office@Hand Desktop and Web

This article provides information about the Citrix VDI integration in the AT&T Office@Hand Desktop and Web.

Citrix is integrated with the AT&T Office@Hand for Desktop and Web to improve the quality of your audio calls. This new feature will only be applied to Telephony users who have a Citrix Virtual Desktop environment on their machines.

Citrix VDI integration system requirements

  • Client: Citrix Workspace App 1809 for Windows or later.
  • Server: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) 1912 LTSR or later.
    NOTE: XenApp or XemDesktop is not supported.
  • Browser: Google Chrome 66 or later.

NOTE: The Citrix VDI integration in the AT&T Office@Hand for desktop and web is only available on Windows.

Using AT&T Office@Hand Web in Citrix environment

If you intend to use Citrix in the AT&T Office@Hand Web, you need to install a Google Chrome extension created by Citrix. You can find the extension and instructions here.

NOTE: Citrix can only be used via Google Chrome for the AT&T Office@Hand Web.

Using AT&T Office@Hand Desktop in Citrix environment

If you intend to use the AT&T Office@Hand Desktop inside the Citrix Workspace app, then installing the AT&T Office@Hand App, you also need to download and run a BAT file on the same server. This will improve the voice quality. You can find the file here (If you’re using Google Chrome, right-click the file link and select Open link in a new window).

Ensuring your call is optimized by Citrix

  1. Navigate to Settings via the left navigation bar.
  2. Click on the Advanced tab.
  3. Ensure the tab at the far right of Optimize media quality for Citrix is toggled on. This feature is toggled on by default if a user is detected to use the AT&T Office@Hand App with Citrix VDI.

    Ensure the tab at the far right of Optimize media quality for Citrix is toggled on.

You can check if Citrix is working if your call has the Media optimized for VMware indicator.
