Removing Background Noise During an AT&T Office@Hand Video Meeting on Mobile

The AT&T Office@Hand Desktop and Mobile help keep your meetings distraction-free using the Remove background noise feature.

This feature can filter out constant sounds picked up by your microphone, such as car noise, wind, or fans. It also helps reduce sudden sharp sounds, such as a dog barking or when typing.

NOTE: This feature isn’t available when joining a video meeting using a web browser.

1. While in a meeting, tap More in the bottom menu.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Remove background noise.

   

   Select an option:

   • Regular: Removes constant background noise like cars or fans.
   • Advanced: This is the default mode. This setting removes sharp sounds such as typing, a car horn, or a dog barking. Advanced is available on the mobile devices listed below.
   • Off: Turns off background noise reduction.

     

NOTE:

• If you don’t see Remove background noise in the menu, make sure that you have the AT&T Office@Hand app version 22.1.30 or later.
• Advanced is the default setting. It may increase CPU usage, so if you notice the video quality being impacted or your voice sounding choppy to others, you may want to switch to Regular.

Devices that support Advanced background noise reduction

All iOS devices are supported.
