Manage account and authorization codes with AT&T Collaborate

As an administrator for the AT&T Collaborate℠ service with permissions to manage sites, you can manage the account and authorization code settings for your site. You can use account codes only, authorization codes only, or no codes.

Account codes help you track outbound calls and keep an eye on budgets or employee performance. You can require individual users to enter account codes before making calls, or you can make the codes optional. As long as the code numbers and length are the same as the code that you’ve specified, it will be accepted.

Authorization codes restrict individual users from making certain types of outbound, external calls. You can require users to enter authorization codes for all calls or for only certain calls. The authorization code a user enters is validated, and calls connect only when a correct code is entered. If users don’t enter a correct code after 2 attempts, the user must hang up and try again.

Access the account or authorization codes page

  1. On the Collaborate homepage, click Select a site or Switch sites, and then search for or select a site to manage.
  2. On the left menu, expand Administration, and then click Site tools. The Site tools page appears.
  3. In the Account/Authorization code section click Edit. The Account or authorization codes page appears, showing the settings for whichever code type (account code, authorization code, or no code) is currently selected.
Note: If you don’t want to use any codes, under Select a code type, select No code.

    • To remove users, under Use optional codes feature access, click View and manage users. Search for or select the users you want to remove, and then click Unassign.
Note: Because new users aren’t automatically assigned to an account codes list, make sure to update these lists when you add users to the site.
