How to mute AT&T Office@Hand Automatic Call Recordings

This article provides steps for pausing the recording during an active call.
To use this feature, the Super Admin or the Phone System Admin must enable the Allow mute in auto call recording feature on the AT&T Office@Hand online account by going to the Admin Portal > Phone System > Auto-Receptionist > General Settings > Call Recording > Automatic Call Recording.
IMPORTANT: The pause or mute function for automatic call recordings for the new AT&T Office@Hand app version is not yet supported.
Mute Automatic Call Recordings on Deskphones
- Press *9 to mute the recording.
- The automatic call recording is stopped. A prompt is played and can be heard by both parties “The call recording has been stopped on this call.”
- Press *9 to unmute the recording.
- The automatic call recording is resumed. A prompt is played and can be heard by both parties “The call recording is now being resumed for this call.”

- Press the Record button to pause or mute the recording
- The automatic call recording is stopped. A prompt is played and can be heard by both parties “The call recording has been stopped on this call.”
- Press the Stop button to unmute the recording
- The automatic call recording is resumed. A prompt is played and can be heard by both parties “The call recording is now being resumed for this call.”
