Meetings: Dial-In Numbers Replacement | AT&T Office@Hand
Article #9078

Why is AT&T Office@Hand replacing the dial-in numbers in the Meetings App?

Changes in the AT&T Office@Hand Meetings Dial-In Numbers

Old dial-in numbers are longer in service.

To further improve AT&T Office@Hand Meetings voice quality and security, there has been a system change with our dial-in numbers. Old dial-in numbers are longer in service.

Changes in User Experience After Migration

The migration will have the following impact to AT&T Office@Hand US customers.

Meeting ID Validation

There is no automatic system validation at present. The system announces the meeting ID entered for users to validate. If a user entered an incorrect meeting ID, he will be redirected to a meeting that matches the meeting ID entered.

Once the migration occurs, the meeting ID will be automatically confirmed (no need to press “1”). An error prompt appears if the meeting ID is incorrect.

Joining Before Host

Currently, the phone participants can still join a meeting before the host even if Enable join before host (Meetings for Desktop) or Allow Join before host (Meetings Mobile app) is disabled.
As a security enhancement, no phone participants can join the meeting when this option is disabled

after the migration.

What customers need to do if old numbers are still in use:

  1. Cancel the existing recurring meeting.
  2. Reschedule the recurring meetings with Meetings access. The latest dial-in numbers will be automatically added to your invitations.

Can I still join my recurring meetings with the current number?
No. The old numbers have been phased out and no longer working.

Will the new number appear in my future audio conference / meeting invitations?
Yes. Any new meeting scheduled or started will show the new number in both the invite and the in-meeting experience.

Will my previously scheduled meetings (in app) automatically be updated with the new number?
No. Recurring will need to be updated and invitations resent.
