This article provides steps for transferring calls using a Cisco phone.
How to transfer calls on a Cisco phone
- Attended Transfer
- Blind Transfer
- Transfer Directly to Voicemail
Attended Transfer
- While on a call, press the Xfer Key.
Note: For Cisco SPA525 or SPA525G2, press Transfer.
- Enter the Extension #, Local or Long Distance phone number.
Note: For Cisco SPA525 or SPA525G2, do either:
- Enter the number to where you want to transfer the call or
- Press Directory and choose a number from the personal directory
- Press Dial.
- Press Transfer.
Note: For Cisco SPA525 or SPA525G2, do either:
- To transfer the call without waiting for the other person to answer – press Transfer after the call begins to ring and hang up. If you hang up before the second call rings, the transfer fails and the first call is disconnected. If you misdialed, press the second line button again to receive a dial tone.
- To transfer after speaking privately to the other person – press Transfer at any time during the conversation.
Blind Transfer
Blind transfer will send the original Call ID information.
- While on a call, press the Bxfer Key.
Note: For Cisco SPA525 or SPA525G2, press BlindXfer.
- Enter the Extension #, Local or Long Distance phone number.
Note: For Cisco SPA525 or SPA525G2, enter the number to where you want to transfer the call and press Dial. The call is transferred with no further action required.
- Press the Dial Key.
Transfer Directly to Voicemail
- While on a call, press the Bxfer Key.
- Enter *0 and Extension #.
- Press the Dial Key.
