What is the Dialer for Google Chrome? |
It is a Chrome extention. An extension is similar to a plug-in or an add-in, because it doesn’t stand alone. It works with an application to extend its functionality. |
The Dialer for Google Chrome was developed by BluIP, Inc. The Dialer works with a number of solutions, including AT&T Collaborate, and is available in the Chrome web store free of charge. |
Why would I use the Dialer for Google Chrome? |
The Dialer allows you to access information in other applications, automatically – without opening the application. So a call center rep could, for example, have a Salesforce window pop up when an incoming call is from a number that’s in a n existing Salesforce record. The call center rep would know who is calling and can see the most recent interaction almost right away. |
The Dialer for Google Chrome provides functionality that makes AT&T Collaborate even more operational. |
How much is AT&T charging for the Dialer for Google Chrome? |
AT&T is not selling the Dialer. It is available at no charge from BluIP via the Google Chrome web store. Users can simply download and install it on their own. |
Users can access and download the Dialer for free. |
What do I need in order to use the Dialer? |
Four things are needed: (1) a valid AT&T Collaborate account; (2) acceptance of the BluIP terms and conditions for the Dialer; (3) Google Chrome installed on your PC; and (4) an Internet connection, since AT&T Collaborate is a Voice over IP (“VoIP”) solution. |
Users who do not already have Chrome or have not used any Google applications for instance may be prompted to establish a free Google account. |
