Assigning a Team Member as an Admin in the AT&T Office@Hand App for Desktop and Web
Article #94405

This article provides instructions on how to make a team member a team administrator in the AT&T Office@Hand app for desktop and web.

Assigning a team member as an admin if you’re also an admin

If you’d like to add a team member as an admin of that team, you must also be an admin of that team.

  1. Go to Message via the left navigation bar.
  2. Select a team from your conversation list.
  3. In the conversation details panel at the top right, click Members to open the team profile or click the three-dot More icon at the top-right of the center pane and click Open team profile.
  4. Under Team members, hover over the name of the person you’d like to assign as an admin, then select the three-dot More icon that appears at the far right.
  5. Select Make team admin from the drop-down.

Once you assign someone as a team admin, an Admin status badge will appear to the right of their name.

You can also revoke a team member’s admin status by following the steps above and selecting Revoke team admin instead of Make team admin from the drop-down.

Assigning yourself or a team member as an admin if there’s no admin

A team becomes admin-less when the last team admin’s account is deactivated. In this case, every team member can assign themselves or someone else as the new team admin.

  1. Go to Message via the left navigation bar.
  2. Select the admin-less team from your conversation list.
  3. In the conversation details panel at the top right, click Members to open the team profile or click the three-dot More icon at the top-right of the center pane and click Open team profile.
  4. Under Team members, hover over the name of the person you’d like to assign as an admin (you can make yourself an admin), then click the three-dot More icon that appears at the far right.
  5. Select Make team admin from the drop-down.
  6. If you select someone other than yourself as an admin, you’ll see a message asking if you’d like to be a team admin as well.
    • Yes: You and the selected member will become the new team admins.
    • No: Only the selected member will become the team admin.
