Use Call Recording with AT&T Collaborate

The AT&T Collaborate SM Call Recording feature lets you record your calls directly from Collaborate.

If your administrator assigned you the Call Recording feature, you’ll also be assigned 1 of these settings:

  • Always—All calls are recorded. You can’t pause or stop a recording mid-call.
  • Always with pause/resume—All calls are recorded. You can pause and resume recording anytime during the call. You can’t stop recording mid-call.
  • On demand with user-initiated start—You can start, pause, resume, and stop recording during the call.

Note: Only your administrator can change your call recording settings.

Record a call

Record a call from a desktop phone

  • To start recording, press *44.
  • To pause recording, press *48.
  • To resume recording, press *49.
  • To stop recording, press *45.

Automatic recording

With Call Recording, you can record calls using the Collaborate app. If you’ve been assigned the Always setting, your calls are automatically recorded.

Pause and resume recording

If you’ve been assigned the Always with pause/resume setting, your calls are automatically recorded when the call starts. Recording stops when the call ends. You can pause and resume recording during a call.

  1. In Collaborate, while on a call, click the Menu icon (Menu  icon).
  2. To pause the recording, select Record Call from the list, and then click Pause Recording. Recording is paused.
  3. To resume recording, click the Menu icon, select Record Call from the list, and click Resume Recording. The recording resumes.

Start and stop recording

If you’ve been assigned the On demand with user-initiated start setting, you can start, pause, resume, and stop recording at any time.

  1. In Collaborate, click the Menu icon (Menu  icon).
  2. To start recording, select Record Call, and then click Start Recording. Recording starts.
  3. To pause recording, select Record Call, and then click Pause Recording. Recording pauses.
  4. To resume recording, click the Menu icon, select Record Call, and click Resume Recording. Recording resumes.
  5. To stop recording, click the Menu icon, select Record Call, and then click Stop Recording. Recording stops.

Record a call from a tablet

  1. During an active call, open the dial pad, and tap the pause button (Pause button). The call is put on hold.
  2. Use 1 of the following dial codes, and then tap the call button (Call button):
    – To start recording, dial *44
    – To pause recording, dial *48
    – To resume recording, dial *49
    – To stop recording, dial *45

You’re transferred back to the original call and the call recording announcement plays.
