1. What is an Auto-Receptionist?
The Auto-Receptionist finds the administrator or members of your team—wherever you are—through extensions, departments, business hours, and other routing and defined criteria. Recommend a standard, custom, or professionally recorded greeting and discuss interactive voice response (IVR) menus.  When a customer calls, play an announcement, take a voicemail, or ring office, mobile, or home phone numbers in any order.

2. What is a Toll-Free, Local or Vanity Numbers?
RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T also includes one dedicated toll-free number that you can use for Internet fax.  Each line includes one direct local number.  You can choose one or multiple area codes that make sense for the business need and get unlimited calls.

3. What are Departments?
Departments enable you to group users to handle calls according to the set preference, ensuring that all calls are received and taken care of.

Creating virtual departments with a group of extensions is a powerful tool.  Calls to that department will automatically be placed on hold until a pre-designated agent can take the call. Departments make it easy to specify queue priority, if you set up multiple queues and to customize the in-queue experience, including maximum hold time.

Dialing extension numbers help connect team members with ease.

5. What are After Hours?
After Hours is a period in which your Business hours end. You can use call forwarding and answering rules to direct phone calls during this period and save the cost of answering services.

6. What is Call Forwarding?
Call Forwarding allows you to direct your calls from a RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T number to any mobile, home or office phone.  Call forwarding can also be used to direct calls to employees, partners, and departments around.

7. What is FindMe-FollowMe?
FindMe-FollowMe allows users to stay connected wherever they go by directing incoming calls to any phone at any time. They can direct calls to multiple phones simultaneously or in order, route calls by date, time and Caller ID, or even by the number dialed.  They can also keep personal numbers private.

8. What are Multiple Extensions?
Multiple Extensions allows flexible extension structure to accommodate local and satellite offices and employees, wherever they are.  Configure answering rules for each extension with a wide range of blocking, screening, fax, and routing options.

9. What is Dial-by-Name Directory?
Dial-by-Name directory provides a list of auto-generated departments and employees to callers, accessible by first or last name.

10. What is Voicemail with Email Delivery?
You can retrieve voice messages online or have them delivered by email that plays them on PC speakers or over the phone.  Each extension includes advanced voicemail features complete with professional greetings, multiple delivery options, and alerts. 

11. What is Professional Recordings?
You can use professional voice talents to record greetings and announcements, reinforce the customer’s brand, and project a professional image.  An online wizard guides you through the process.

12. What is Music and Messages On-Hold?
You can reinforce the user’s brand by playing music and messages to callers on hold.

13. What are Hunt Groups?
A hunt group ensures that calls never go unanswered, connecting callers by “hunting” through a predefined set of phone numbers.  There’s no limit to the number of phone numbers users can have in a hunt group, and they can set calls to hunt extensions in sequential, random, simultaneous, longest waiting, or skill-based order.

14. What are Routing and Answering Rules?
Routing and Answering Rules helps you configure the way callers reach individual extensions.  Direct callers to voicemail, extensions, and alternate phone numbers based on date and time, date range and callers’ phone numbers, as well as the number they dial, if you have more than one.

15. What is Call Screening and Blocking?
Call Screening and Blocking allows you to announce incoming callers’ names with the option to accept, reject, or send them to voicemail.  You can also block callers and view blocked caller IDs.

16. What is Click-to-Call Out?
Click-to-Call Out allows you to highlight a phone number from the web or Softphone and click— RingCentral will connect the party to the user’s phone.

20. How does Multi-Way Calling or Call Conferencing work?
Call Conferencing connects multiple callers in a single conference call using the a Dial-in details in your account.

21. What is Inbound and Outbound Caller ID?
View Caller ID information on incoming calls and choose a Caller ID number to display when making calls. Your customers can choose a RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T number for any of their phones, including home, office, or mobile numbers.

22. What is Call Transferring?
You can transfer calls to a mobile phone and take them with you for even greater mobility.

23. What is Quick Access to Voicemail?
Listen to messages by dialing *86, or play them directly on the Softphone.

24. What is Speed Dial?
Speed dial are the contacts you can set up to call up with single-digit dialing. You can store up to 10 speed dial numbers.

25. What is Call Return?
Press *69 to quickly return the most recent incoming call.  For this feature to work, the caller ID number of the most recent incoming phone call must be available.

Call Logs: A record of your calls and faxes is stored in your Web-based account.  You will see who called, the phone number they called from, the time and date they called, and the duration of the call.
