Requesting delivery confirmation for SMTP messages using AT&T Business Messaging

Note: AT&T Business Messaging supports text only messages (no pictures, graphic elements, attachments or special fonts). This example uses Microsoft Outlook 2010. Your experience may differ if you are using a different version of Outlook, or a different email client.

  1. Click New E-Mail.

    Actions in the photo are explained in the text.

  2. Enter new recipient addresses as “mobilenumber@page.att.net“.
    Note: You may also use existing contacts or distribution groups as long as they follow this format. To create a new group, see the “Creating a Group Distribution List” tutorial.

  3. Click the “Options” tab, and then click Request a Delivery Receipt.

  4. Click Send.

  5. Outlook delivers message via SMTP to registered device.
