Receive alerts and notifications for Enhanced Push-to-Talk for iPhone

Important information:

  • Alerts and notifications are text and tone (depending on your phone’s volume settings) only and do not include voice.
  • Alerts may be received while logged in to Enhanced Push-to-Talk in available status.
  • Alert details are displayed in the Enhanced Push-to-Talk application and in Notification Center with your current status. Swipe down from the top of any screen to open Notification Center and view details.
  • iPhone’s Enhanced Push-to-Talk application icon will also display the number of new alerts and notifications received as a small circled number.

Notification types: Displayed while in other applications and on iPhone’s home and lock screens.

  • Instant Personal Alert – The sender wishes you to contact them. Tap the notification (or swipe if on iPhone’s lock screen) to open the application and view the alert, and then tap Call to initiate Enhanced Push-to-Talk reply.
    Note: If individual is now unavailable, tapping contact name will produce an ‘error’ tone and message.

  • Missed Call Alert – The sender attempted to reach you via Enhanced Push-to-Talk. Tap the notification (or swipe if on iPhone’s lock screen) to open the application and view the alert, and then tap Call to initiate Enhanced Push-to-Talk reply.
