Learn how to use your Enhanced Push-to-Talk service to talk almost instantly to other subscribers walkie-talkie style using their supported regular devices and smartphones. Place a manual or one-time call in Enhanced Push-to-Talk for iPhone
From the “Home” tab , tap Dial .
Type desired phone number, and then tap the call button . Note: If individual is unavailable or is not a current Enhanced Push-to-Talk subscriber, attempting the call will produce an ‘error’ tone and message.
Manual Enhanced Push-to-Talk call is ready. Tap and hold the on-screen button to initialize call and begin speaking after the ‘chirp’ sound.
The microphone button will turn and remain green as long as you continue to hold it, indicating that you ‘have the floor’. When you finish speaking, release the button. Note: When the button is green, a dialogue bubble will also indicate that you are speaking.
When your contact replies, the on-screen button will turn red indicating that they ‘have the floor’. Note: When the button is red, a dialogue bubble will also indicate that they are speaking.
When no one is speaking, the button will be grey. End the call at any time by tapping End Call.
After call ends, it appears on the Home tab , under “History”.
