AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk

Learn how to use your Enhanced Push-to-Talk service to talk almost instantly to other subscribers walkie-talkie style using their supported regular devices and smartphones. Place a group call in Enhanced Push-to-Talk for iPhone

  1. From the “Groups” tab Groups tab icon, scroll to desired group, and then tap the group name. Alternately, you may tap the checkbox, and then tap Call.
    Note: If entire group is unavailable, tapping the group name will produce an ‘error’ tone and message.

  2. Your group Enhanced Push-to-Talk call is ready. Tap and hold the on-screen button to initialize call and begin speaking after the ‘chirp’ sound.

  3. The microphone button will turn and remain green as long as you continue to hold it, indicating that you ‘have the floor’. When you finish speaking, release the button.
    Note: When the button is green, a dialogue bubble will also indicate that you are speaking.

  4. When a group member replies, the on-screen button will turn red indicating that they ‘have the floor’.
    Note: When the button is red, a dialogue bubble will also indicate who is speaking.

  5. When no one is speaking, the button will be grey. End the call at any time by tapping End Call.

  6. After call ends, it appears on the Home tab Home tab icon, under “History”.
