Manage Instant Group Call with AT&T Collaborate

When you want to begin team meetings quickly, use the AT&T
CollaborateSM Instant Group Call feature. When someone calls an Instant Group Call group extension or phone number, Instant Group Call rings all the assigned users. Users who answer the call instantly join a meeting.

As an administrator, you can create Instant Group Call groups and add up to 20 users to each group. For example, you could create an Instant Group Call group and add all your store managers. When someone dials the group’s extension, all the store managers’ phones ring, and the managers are instantly added to a meeting when they answer.

Add a group profile

  1. On the Collaborate homepage, at the top of the page, click Select a site or Switch sites, and then search for and select a site to manage.
  2. On the left menu, expand Call handling, and then click Instant Group Call. The Instant Group Call page appears.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Click Advanced mode.
  5. On the Add a group page, complete the following information:
    • Enter a group name.
    • Do 1 of these things:
      – Enter a phone number (optional) and extension (required).
      – Click the Search icon, search for and select a phone number. The Extension field is automatically completed.
      Note: To prevent people outside your company from calling the group, enter only an extension and not a full phone number.
    • Select a department to associate the group with, as applicable.
    • Select group privacy settings (optional).
  6. When you’re finished, click Save.

Add users to the group

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from Add a group profile.
  2. On the Instant Group Call page, next to the group that you want, click Edit. The manage page for that Instant Group Call group appears.
  3. Click Users. The Users page appears where you can add up to 20 phone numbers for the users in the group.

Assign calling features

  1. On the Instant Group Call page, next to the group that you want, click Edit. The manage page for that Instant Group Call group appears.
  2. Click Set call features. The Set call features page appears.
  3. To assign features, click Assign features, check the boxes for the features you want, and then click Assign.
  4. To turn on and set up each feature for the group:
    • Under Status, click Off. The status changes to On.
    • Click Set up, add criteria, and then click Save.
  5. When you’re finished, click Save.

Update a group profile

  1. On the Instant Group Call page, next to the group that you want, click Edit. The manage page for that
  2. Instant Group Call group appears.
  3. Click Profile. The Profile page appears.
  4. Follow steps 4-6 in Add a group profile.

Delete an Instant Group Call group

  1. On the Instant Group Call page, next to the group that you want, click Delete.
  2. When you’re prompted to confirm the deletion, click OK.
