Install a 3-wire harness for AT&T Fleet Management for Enterprise/Government

Note: This solution is intended for informational purposes only. AT&T does not offer support for the installation of third party hardware. For further support please reach out to an authorized installer.

Note: The HRN-CW0353 harness is used when no engine data is available or required. This harness is typically used for vehicles made before 1996 that do not include an OBDII connector. The harness allows for basic connection to the vehicle, giving ignition and GPS tracking.

Installing a three-wire harness with a GO6 Device

Note: This device uses the “Active Tracking” algorithm by default to detect ignition and uses accelerometer movement and GPS position change to track the vehicle’s movement to confirm ignition. Alternately, the “2-wire” method can be used which uses voltage patterns, GPS, and accelerometer to determine ignition state. The 2-wire method requires additional parameters to be set by your administrator.

  1. Connect the Black wire to a known good chassis ground.
  2. Tape the Yellow wire as it should not be used.
Note: If the harness is not going to be used with a GO7 device this wire can also be de-pinned or cut.
  3. Connect the Red wire to a true battery source.
  4. Plug your GO6 device into the harness.
