Delaying delivery of SMTP messages using AT&T Business Messaging

Note: AT&T Business Messaging supports text only messages (no pictures, graphic elements, attachments or special fonts). This example uses Microsoft Outlook 2010. Your experience may differ if you are using a different version of Outlook, or a different email client.

  1. Click New E-Mail.

  2. Enter new recipient addresses as “mobilenumber@page.att.net“.
    Note: You may also use existing contacts or distribution groups as long as they follow this format. To create a new group, see the “Creating a Group Distribution List” tutorial.

  3. Click the “Options” tab, and then click Delay Delivery.

  4. Click the date and time dropdowns and make the appropriate selections, and then click Close.

  5. Click Send.

  6. Outlook delivers message via SMTP to registered device at the requested time.
