Billing Frequently Asked Questions

Question: There is a line item on my bill called Activation Fee. What is that charge for?

Answer: Activation fees are a one-time charge on your bill when you add a new billable CTN. These fees are listed on the specific CTN under One-Time Charges. If an Activation Fee does not apply to your services, a credit should appear in a line item on the bill under Other Charges & Credits. If the credit has not been applied, please contact our Advanced Solutions Customer Service team.

Questions Specific to AT&T Landline Texting Packages

Question: Why am I seeing two charges for my package on my account?

Answer: There are two charges on the bill due to advanced billing. The pro-rated amount under Other Charges and Credits is the amount from the time the feature was added through the end of the current bill cycle, and the line item under Monthly Charges is the amount for the next month in advance. Pro-rations may also occur when making changes to packages during the middle of a billing cycle.
