How do I update unassigned user phone details via web?

An Unassigned phone is an IP phone in your account that is not yet activated or assigned to a User. Unassigned phones do not have a monthly service cost until they are associated with a Digital line. A Digital Line allows a user to receive incoming and make outbound calls. Office@Hand allows you to add or order phones in advance or keep existing phones until they need to be re-assigned to active users in the future. In other words, an unassigned phone is a reserved phone in your account’s stock pile.

Setup and assign an unassigned phone to an extension

  1. Log in to your Office@Hand online account as an Administrator.
  2. Go to Phone System > Phones & Devices.

    Go to Phone System > Phones & Devices.

  3. On the Unassigned tab, click Setup & Assign on the unassigned phone that you want to set up.

  4. Select the user who will be using the phone. Click Next to proceed.

  5. On the Configure Phone tab, provide a Phone Nickname then click Next to proceed.

  6. Enter your Emergency Address. You may enter a new address or select from your saved list then click Confirm to proceed.

    If you select New, read the details for the Emergency Address Agreement. Provide your information and check the box to confirm that you understand and agree to how 911 service from AT&T Office@Hand differs from traditional 911 service, then click I Accept.

    Note: You must reboot the phone to apply the changes made on the account.

Unassign a phone number from Desk Phone

  1. Log in to your Office@Hand online account as an Administrator.
  2. Go to Phone System > Phones & Devices.

    Go to Phone System > Phones & Devices.

  3. On the User Phones tab, select the phone that you want to unassign.

    On the User Phones tab, select the phone that you want to unassign.

  4. On the Device Page, click Remove Line.

  5. Click Yes to confirm.

  6. A notification window will appear, Click OK.

    Note: The phone will now be be unassigned to the Phone Number and the User. The device will now be listed on the Unassigned tab.

Delete a Phone

To delete a phone from your AT&T Office@Hand account, you must unassign the phone first.

  1. Log in to your Office@Hand online account as an Administrator.
  2. Go to Phone System > Phones & Devices.

    Go to Phone System > Phones & Devices.

  3. On the Unassigned tab, select the unassigned phone from the list.

  4. On the bottom left of the Device page, click Delete.

  5. Click Yes to confirm and proceed.
